What this is

Force is not a traditional search firm. We combine an AI delivery engine with a network of operators who have held the exact roles we are being asked to fill. Your role in a search is not administrative — it is the thing that separates a Force shortlist from a list of names that look right on paper.

When a company comes to Force to hire a CFO, we involve a CFO who has raised from European and US investors and navigated a distressed balance sheet. When they hire a CTO, we involve someone who has scaled an engineering org through a Series B inflection. Your judgment is the calibration mechanism.

What you will do

  • Review the brief with the Force team and stress-test the candidate profile
  • Assess the longlist — typically 15–25 candidates — against criteria that go beyond the job description
  • Join one or two conversations to give the client your read on finalists
  • Provide a written assessment that shapes the shortlist the client sees

The time commitment per search is typically four to eight hours. You are not managing the process — Force does that. You are the expert judgment on top of the AI infrastructure.

Who we are looking for

  • You have held a C-suite or senior VP role at a company that raised Series A or beyond
  • You have directly managed or built the function you would be assessing
  • You have strong opinions about what good looks like at growth stage — and the experience to back them up
  • You are based in or have deep coverage of the European or New York tech ecosystem

Compensation

Operators are compensated per search engagement. The structure is straightforward — a fixed fee for longlist assessment plus a success element tied to placement. Details discussed in the first conversation.
